Summary / Synopsis

HE'LL NEVER FORGET HER, BUT HE'LL NEVER FORGIVE HER EITHER Stacey returns home with the security of Kade's team, only to be dragged further into her own living hell by her deranged abuser Chris - until the opportunity finally comes to fight back. Kade has never been so deep in the pits of hell itself. Seeing Stacey once nearly knocked him off his axis; seeing her twice - ready to submit to his dominance - is a disaster waiting to happen. Yet despite his hatred for her, she's his anchor, the flashes of what they used to be the only thing keeping him sane and stopping the darkness from claiming him completely. But what happens when the truth about their past finally unravels, and both he and Stacey learn what really happened the night that tore them apart?

My Takes

Voracious by Leigh Rivers was a solid middle-of-the-road read for me. Not bad by any means, but not one that completely blew me away either. I ended up landing around 3 stars overall.

The book definitely keeps the same dark, obsessive energy as Insatiable. Kade is still wildly possessive, morally gray, and completely consumed by Stacey, and their relationship continues to be chaotic, toxic, and emotionally messy. If you enjoy intense dark romance dynamics with lots of angst and obsession, this series absolutely delivers that.

That said, this one felt a little repetitive at times. A lot of the push-and-pull between the characters started to blur together for me, and while the tension was still there, I did not feel as emotionally invested as I did in the first book. Some parts dragged, and I found myself wanting the plot to move forward faster instead of circling the same emotional conflicts repeatedly.

The spice was still good, the writing was easy to binge, and there were definitely moments that kept me hooked enough to keep reading. Leigh Rivers does a great job creating emotionally damaged characters you cannot fully look away from, even when they are frustrating you.

Overall, Voracious was entertaining and kept me interested enough to continue the series, but it did not leave a huge emotional impact on me. A decent dark romance read if you are already invested in Kade and Stacey’s story, just not a standout favorite for me personally.
