The longest prolog I have ever read. I am really hoping the second book isn’t just a setup for book 3. I am really disappointed int this story. It just doens’t feel like a complete story. I will save you the read. This girl is living on the streets and she meets a guy who raids other, but also has the power to turn anything he touches into gold. He takes her off the street and decides she is the most precious thing he has ever had so he touches her and gilds her body, hair, everything gold. Then he decides that no one should touch her and he will keep her in a bird cage.

So this guy marries a princess so he can become a king and because he is onto a good person or a good man he has a harem of women that he fucks. (They call them saddles, you know because he rides them…) and.. because, just wait, there is more.. He is not happy with the kingdom he has so he sets up his longest and best alli to fight a kingdom that is know for decay and sets them up to be slaughtered so he can take that kingdom over too.

Once he does all that he goes there and he thinks to himself, I really need my guilded lady to watch me fuck more people and sends for her. Everyone everywhere either wants this woman dead because they are jealous of her they want to fuck her because she must have a gold pussy.

And to top everything off she has these “ribbons” coming out of her back that she should be able to use to protect herself, but of course she can’t, because she is useless. So on this trip she to the new kingdom she gets kidnapped and the men protecting her are murdered and the guy who kidnaps her tries to double cross the men that he is going to sell her to because he wants to torture her first.

Like I said the longest prolog ever. Nothing is resolved, there is no stakes for the story, no growth of the characters not much on back story.

With all the hype it had on TikTok I was disappointed. I have not started book 2 though I will. The writing style was good, I already have invested the reading time of book one so I am more invested than I really want to be, but I might as well continue..
