Summary / Synopsis
When Julia Honeyfield is sent away to a brothel, she runs away...
Julia Honeyfield and her mother are in dire straits after Julia's father abandoned them. Out of money and sick, Julia's mother does the only thing she can think of to save her daughter. She sends Julia to a London brothel. When Julia discovers the truth she tries to escape, only to find herself in Charles, the Duke of Selkirk's, arms.
Dare she trust him to protect her...
Charles hasn’t a clue what to do with the distraught damsel, but he knows he cannot turn his back on her. Something about Julia captures his interest, and without considering the consequences, he spirits her off to his country estate. Once there he gives her a position as his sister's companion, and enlists his mother, the dowager Duchess of Selkirk, to help shape Julia into a lady.
One night changes everything...
When Charles comes upon Julia dancing alone in the middle of the night, he takes her into his arms. Overwhelmed with desire, Julia and Charles succumb to their passion. Now everything they hold dear is in jeopardy—most of all their hearts.
