I found this book frustrating. I cannot imagine someone allowing even family members to talk to them and treating them that way. No one stands up to the mom or the sister and there is no resolution to the abuse. They both need to knock down several pegs. And where is her dad?! Why does no one stand up for her?
Levi seems very immature and though he is protective of Christa he also keeps making stupid mistakes like a damsel in distress.
The fake Russian accent doesn't do anyone any favors. I skipped the whole second book because of it. Overall it was an ok book, not going on any top 10 lists for me.
