My Takes
This book is turning out to be a filler book. I am not as happy with it as I was with book one because I am invested in the Penn story arch. I miss the puppy too. I feel like there is so much of Penn that we are going to miss out on.
The new relationship is falling flat for me. Why is she so easily led around? Why now that she has money she still says she doesn't. What is happening to Penn while these two are running around together? Penn knows about the new guy and he hasn't confronted him, really? This book is more of a forbidden romance but I am in chapter 14 and it still hasn't been addressed and besides Nat's thoughts on it here and there it isn't even brought up.
I do like the concept but how can someone just give in after a few times seeing a person? I thought Nat had more class than this. I am a little disappointed in her. Though I am always disappointed when she says no, but lets someone change her mind. Even Amy is a bad influence on this character and she has no one to really give her perspective.
